Clinton Neighborhood Rowhomes

Portland, Oregon — 1996

Gustav Stickley was a leading figure of the American Arts and Crafts Movement. I used to read anthologies of his magazine, The Craftsman. It was published during the early twentieth century. In October of 1910, a design appeared in The Craftsman for “a practical home suited for life in the city.” This building was inspired by the design and enduring sensibilities of Gustav Stickley.
